Soozie Schneider

Soozie’s career path has brought a variety of twists and turns; from kindergarden teacher to music educator, from campus ministry to training music and drama groups in the USA and Canada, from film festival work to international Christian Embassy work. She co-founded and directed Associates in Media, a non-profit human resources and training organization that served film directors, producers, writers and studio executives in Hollywood and NYC. She has helped to organize numerous meetings and conferences for the film industry, including Women in Film, L.A., and the Glasnost Film Festival. In addition, she has helped to staff 15 international film festivals in the USA and Europe. Soozie has lectured and published articles on film and filmmakers. Before coming to work with Rivendell Institute, she lived in Moscow, Russia with her husband, Rick, and three children. While he finished his PhD and taught university courses, she continued her studies in language and culture, as well as organize cultural events.
