Kristen and her husband moved to New Haven from Lexington, Kentucky (where they met, dated, and married) so her husband could attend Yale Divinity School for a second master’s degree.
After growing up in Atlanta (Georgia), Kristen attended the University of Kentucky and graduated in 2008. Along with completing her English degree, Kristen spent a good amount of time taking photography classes in college and loves working in a photography darkroom when she gets the chance. She enjoys creating order out of chaos and reading non-fiction books, especially in food writing and sociology. When she gets the chance, she also likes baking for the Rivendell Institute – where there’s always an audience for cookies – and occasionally visiting her parents and brother in Atlanta,Georgia.
